Tet Boxes and Donations to Ha Giang

In late 2018 the teachers and staff of Systems Little House decided to support a Kindergarten project through GTV NGO. The Kindergarten located in Ha Giang province is in a particularly poor area of Northern Vietnam. Through the generous donations of our wonderful families we provided all the children in the school with boxes of stationary supplies, toiletries, cuddly toys and warm clothes – the school currently has 11 classes with between 14 – 26 children per class. In addition to this money has also been raised to contribute towards the schools building project to replace the roof.

Play & Learn is a small charity which provides an opportunity for local blind kindergarten aged children and their families to meetup once a fortnight at Systems Little House to socialise, play and learn through exploration and sensory activities. The proceeds from all school community ticket sales last year reached XXX ( pls insert) goes directly to the charity to support these events and other needs of the group. In the school year 2016-2017, there were 9 families that took part in the group and in addition to meeting fortnightly at Systems, during the summer the families were also able to go on holiday to the beach – which for many was the first time they had left Hanoi.

This year we are delighted to report that the group now welcomes 21 children who are blind or visually impaired and the money raised by Systems has so far this year afforded additional training for staff members as well as equipment for the children at their local centre.

Visit to the National Paediatric Hospital to give out gifts

Each year Michelle along with some of the teachers and staff from Systems Little House dress up in a variety of Disney inspired costumes and visit the impatient departments of the National Paediatric Hospital, to deliver small gifts.

During the month of November each year we ask the families at school to donate any new or nearly new toys that their children not longer play with, as well as cash donations, with which, we buy small cuddly toys and small art kits.  Last year we delivered over 600 teddies and colouring kits in 3 hours it was a truly wonderful experience for all concerned.
