Extracurricular Activities -

As we value creativity and believe that our children are capable and full of potential, we always try to provide the little ones with space and activities for them to thrive in their way. Hence, we prior the extracurricular activities and always add these sessions to our kids’ day.

OUTSIDE-THE-CLASS ACTIVITIES

Atelier

Atelier is where our little artists express their talent. Art develops an awareness of colour, patterns, and form but most importantly it develops self-expression and creativity. Over the years our little artists have discovered the answers to their questions, such as; “What colour are shadows?” “How do you make blonde?” “How do you make a movie?” “What does snow feel like?” and many, many, more besides.

Library Time & Story Telling

Children are exposed with books and reading since early at Systems Little House. We have a big library where each child could read and borrow their own book. Story time is also their favorite as they have the opportunity to travel in many worlds with their teachers’ readings.

Excursions & Visits

During each learning project or theme that the children embark upon, we always try to incorporate an excursion outside of school to support the children’s learning process. As well as this we often invite speakers and guests into the school to talk to the children or provide them with relevant information to deepen their understanding.

Music

Music is the essential thing that every child loves to and needs to learn. During our music and moving classes, children will be surrounded with beautiful melody and also express their talent in singing, instrument playing or dancing.

Cooking & Food Science

Cooking lessons shouldn’t just be about baking cookies and cakes! We want it to be an exciting sensory world of tastes, aromas and science! In our cooking lab, our children learn about kitchen safety, nutrition and healthy eating, the different colours and texture of food, whether items are fresh or moldy.

Gym & Sport

In Gym classes, children explore obstacle courses, ball games, music and movement and more! Children will learn more about how to move and navigate their bodies through a variety of gross motor games and activities, all while having lots of fun! Depending on the weather, Gym Club will be held both indoors in our gym area and outdoors in our large garden.

Yoga

Let’s stretch and have fun! At the Yoga class, the children get to know and practice new movement and discover the capability of their body.

SCHOOL EVENTS

International Month Celebration

International Month is held from mid-November to the end of the term every year. During this month we take time to learn about and celebrate all the different nationalities and cultures without our school. During this month we rely on every family within the school to come in and share their culture with their child’s class. Whether it is through music and songs, stories and craft activities or cooking and tasting it is a very special month for everyone. Our international Month celebrations conclude with a large International Day party at which every nationality at our school is represented. Families bring in food and items from their cultural backgrounds to display and share. All the children are given their own Systems Little House passport and are encouraged to visit as many countries as they can to receive that country’s stamp and sample whatever the tables have to offer, whether it is scones from England, pizza from Italy, Japanese calligraphy or Indian Henna, a wonderful time is guaranteed!
